Personal Transformation Description
I started Bluprint after switching jobs and it was just the change I was looking for, because I needed some help. I went from traveling 3-4 weeks a month, eating out all of the time, and having a cocktail or 4 (sorry Janelle) on a pretty consistent basis to working out almost 5 days a week consistently, prepping most of my meals for the week, and watching the amount of alcohol that I was taking in. Don’t get me wrong; I was a member of a gym, would try working out on the road, and would cook for myself when I was home (some of the time), but I was never consistent. Now I have everyone at the gym keeping me honest with myself and holding myself accountable to the lifestyle that I want to live.
My proudest transformation though is my strength. I always knew that I was strong, but never knew exactly what that meant or any of the numbers behind it. It took a good 6+ months to learn the movements, figure out what my 1 rep maxes were, and that there was a MAJOR difference between a weight that was heavy and what I was actually capable of. Now after a year and a half, I have a true 1RM on everything but my deadlift – 350 here I come! My next hurtle is the gymnastic movements. While I’ve had a pretty big transformation, I’m still transforming and working to get better at the things I’m still not good at.
